Scientists and engineers who want to apply their knowledge and broaden their life experience could consider a career in radiological protection. This specialised field of health and safety has applications in medicine, electricity generation, academia, nuclear waste management and decommissioning, the mobile phone business, environmental protection and government regulation. There are job opportunities for both science graduates and numerate school leavers with good inter-personal skills. Career pathways can be working in-house for the nuclear industry or hospitals, working with agencies as a consultant, moving into management or even starting your own business.

This is an initial three year Foundatoin Course (Level 5) followed by a top-up two years to achieve the BEng (Hons) Degree (Level 6).
