SRP Appears in BBC Documentary on Chernobyl Wildfires
News Story from 23rd Dec 2020
A BBC news documentary on the Chernobyl Wildfires has just been released; it highlights how perception of radiation and the psychological impacts can be more dangerous than the exposures themselves.
SRP's President, Pete Bryant, was able to contribute to the documentary and support this work. Pete said; “As radiation protection professionals, we have an obligation to help inform the public so they can make their own decision on what is a safe level of radiation. It’s fantastic that SRP was able to contribute to this work, in particular in helping to explain the science behind radiation dose. I look forward to SRP being able to work with the BBC and other new agencies in the future.”
