SRP Publishes its Manifesto
News Story from 19th Jun 2024

We publish today a paper highlighting SRP's view on the key issues affecting the radiation protection profession that should be considered at the time of a general election and by future Parliaments. Three very important issues which need government action are:
- The Skills Gap - Putting in place long-term sustainable plans to ensure we have a suitably qualified and equipped workforce in the profession of radiation protection is essential for meeting the UK's goals for industrial decarbonisation, energy security and sustainable development.
- Energy Security - A clear, long-term commitment to nuclear techhnologies will inspire the next generation to enter the profession and help ensure energy security plans.
- Medical Radionuclide Supply - A secure supply of medical radionuclides is vital to the Healthcare sector.
